6 Months Old!

I can't believe that Lucy is already 6 months old! She weighs 16 and a half pounds. She currently loves reaching for and talking to Maizy, practicing sitting up and playing, and eating oatmeal!
We’ve had such a fun week! On Monday we went to playgroup. Tuesday was my 31st birthday and we met my mom and my aunt K-T Bug at Northpark for lunch and shopping! Then Carl took me out for birthday dinner (it was our first date in 6 months) while mom babysat Lucy. This was one of my best birthdays ever!!!

Lucy's Christening

This past Sunday Lucy was Christened in Athens at The First Presbyterian Church. I grew up in this church and Carl and I got married there as well. Lucy was such a good girl at church…she nearly made it through the whole service without babbling. One of my mom’s best friends, Kay, delivered a special children’s sermon about baptism. All of my family in Athens, Carl’s parents, and our dear family friend Thelma came to celebrate this special day with us. We had a wonderful lunch at my parent’s house after church.

Lucy's first cold :(

Lucy had her first cold this past week. It was so sad to see her with a runny nose and cough. We stayed in this week but had several visitors come to see us. On Monday, Grammy and aunt K-T-Bug came to see us, Tuesday Meme came over for a visit, and on Thursday mom came up to spend the night! Lucy is now rolling over in both directions, and is sitting up now with minimal assistance! She reached for Maizy for the first time this week. It is so much fun watching her discover and learn new things!

Lucy is 5 Months Old!

Lucy turned 5 months old last week and now weighs 16 pounds. Carl was off most of the week and we both really enjoyed having him here! We went to a kid friendly New Year's party and actually stayed up until midnight (not Lucy of course). She decided to start sleeping on her tummy that night! Lucy got to see it snow again!!! We celebrated Christmas with Meme and Pop after they returned from Connecticut where they had spent Christmas with The Catons (Carl's sister's family). 2009 was a great year and was made even better with the arrival of our sweet Lucy!
