7 Months Old!

Lucy is 7 months old today! She now weighs 17.2 pounds and is loving eating her oatmeal and baby food. Her personality is really coming out. She has starting giving us kisses (grabbing our face and coming towards us with her mouth open) and talking to us to get our attention. We just can't get enough of our sweet girl!!! This weekend we went to the park for the first time and Lucy loved swinging!

Happy Belated Valentines!

We started out on Valentine’s Day with a great visit with my grandma, Aunt Darla and Uncle Ziggy. They couldn’t believe how much she had grown since they last saw her! Betsy Preito came to our house on Monday for a 2 hour photo session. It was fun but exhausting. Lucy was a good sport until the very end. Pictures will follow when available. I almost forgot…Lucy started saying mama last week!!! Now we have to start working on dada. Below are some pictures of our busy weekend/week.

Our BIGGEST Snow!!!

We’ve had record snowfall this week! This was Lucy’s 3rd time to see snow. She loved watching the snow fall outside the window on Thursday! Then we ventured out for some pictures.

I am having so much fun with my little Lucy these days. I smile at her so much that my face often hurts!!! This past week we had Lucy’s 6 month doctor’s appointment. Dr. Newton said that she is doing great, and that we could start feeding her baby food. We started with sweet potatoes. She made quite a face at first, but now she likes them! Lucy has mastered sitting up all by herself! Also, she is having lots of fun playing in her new pink car/walker. She hasn’t figured out to make it move on her own yet, but I’m sure she will soon enough :).
We went to Louisiana to Aunt Nelda’s 80th birthday party on Friday, then came back through Athens on Saturday night to spend the night and have a visit before getting back on the road to head home. Lucy was such a good girl on our road trip!
